Every day of our journey is filled with excitement and anticipation, and the fourth day was no exception. We decided to explore the city and visit some of the intriguing places we had chosen the day before. At the top of our list was a visit to Sandland, a place that had intrigued us from the moment we saw pictures of this fascinating destination.
An Early Start to a Special Day
We rose early in the morning, around 8:30, fully aware that a special day awaited us. After a quick freshening up, we headed to a delightful breakfast to recharge our batteries for the upcoming adventure. Following the meal, we returned to our hotel room to jot down a few lines for our blog and prepare for our visit to Sandland.
A Sandland Adventure Unfolds
At the hotel reception, we requested a taxi to take us to Sandland, and within just 5-10 minutes, a taxi driver was waiting at the hotel's doorstep. Our excitement was at its peak. Sandland had intrigued us with its unique story and concept. We had seen beautiful pictures online, but we were eager to witness its beauty in person.
After about a quarter-hour drive, we arrived at Sandland. The entrance fee was €10 per person, which felt like a fantastic investment for the adventure that lay ahead. As we stepped inside, we were absolutely mesmerized by the scenes before us. Sandland was a true marvel, where artists used sand and light to create incredible sculptures.
A Journey through the Sands of Time and Space
The theme of the day was the universe and rockets, and some of the sculptures depicted famous historical moments, including images of astronauts like Neil Armstrong and politicians, including the Turkish president. It was fascinating to see how sand transformed into masterpieces under the play of light.
After touring the exhibition, we decided to take a break with a drink included in the ticket price and plan the next part of our adventure. The latter part of the day was reserved for the Selfie Park, but more on that in our next article.
At Sandland, we spent an unforgettable day filled with sand and light wonders. This unique experience will leave a lasting impression in our memories of this journey.
