Mostar — The City of the Old Bridge

Mostar's Stari Most (Old Bridge) is one of the most iconic sights in all of former Yugoslavia. The 16th-century Ottoman bridge, destroyed in 1993 and rebuilt in 2004, arches perfectly over the emerald-green Neretva river.

The old town around it — cobbled streets, bazaars selling copper work and textiles, minarets and clock towers — is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and genuinely one of the most atmospheric places in Europe.
