The Kravice Waterfalls in Herzegovina are among the most beautiful natural sights in the Balkans — a 25-metre curtain of turquoise water in a lush green canyon.
The Kravice Waterfalls (Vodopad Kravice) are located on the Trebižat river in Herzegovina, about 40km from Mostar. The 25-metre-high horseshoe waterfall drops into a natural pool of the most extraordinary turquoise colour.
In summer the pool is warm enough to swim in, and swimming directly beneath the falls is one of the great experiences of the Balkans. The surrounding canyon is lush and green, making for spectacular photography.
