The Zoo de Mulhouse is one of France's oldest zoos, founded in 1868, and remains one of the finest. Spread across 25 hectares, it houses over 1,100 animals representing 200 species in spacious, naturalistic enclosures.
What sets Mulhouse Zoo apart is its commitment to conservation — it participates in over 30 European breeding programmes for endangered species. The gorilla habitat and the big cat enclosures are particularly impressive.
