The Archaeological Museum of Sousse houses one of the world's finest collections of Roman mosaics, set within the ancient kasbah of Sousse.

The Archaeological Museum of Sousse is housed within the ancient kasbah fortress above the medina — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum contains one of the finest collections of Roman mosaics in the world, many discovered at Hadrumetum (the Roman name for Sousse).

The mosaic collection spans several centuries and includes extraordinary hunting scenes, mythological subjects, and geometric patterns. The colours remain vivid after 2,000 years.

"

One of the finest mosaic collections in the world. The Roman floors here rival anything in Rome itself.
